Sacramento’s professional ballet company is dedicated to bringing classical and contemporary performances of the highest quality to the Sacramento region. The school, attached to the company, provides the highest level of ballet training in the area and includes the Second Company of aspiring dancers.
The Sacramento Ballet entertains, educates, inspires, and engages people through the powerful vehicle of dance.
SERVICES
Sacramento Ballet has both contemporary and classical performances throughout the year that includes the local favorite of Beer & Ballet, performed outside under a tent, as well as the holiday tradition of Nutcracker.
CLASSES
Our primary goal is to provide each student with excellent dance training of the highest caliber at every level and for every aspiration. Our faculty inspires and educates young dancers through a graded syllabus, instilling qualities that poise them for success. From beginner to pre-professional, the pursuit of excellence is our goal as we strive to develop the individual’s potential.
We offer classes for students 18 months to adult and provide training programs for both the recreational and the pre-professional dancer looking to pursue a career in dance. Our professional teaching staff offers skilled instruction at every level.
WITH SCUSD
As part of CLARA’s partnership with Sacramento City Unified School District, Sacramento Ballet provides Ballet classes to kindergarten students at Hollywood Park Elementary School. Additionally, we collaborate with CLARA to offer programs for high school students that have them watch a rehearsal and bring them backstage for a tour so that the students get a full picture of what it takes to produce a live ballet performance.
